Petals & Horn

Couldn't think of a better name. If you can, suggest one! When with a lomo feel for post processing this, not sure if i got the tone color right. Good fun experimenting with it. Original image was shot for program booklet design, i believe its being used for the booklet.

And one for the HORNS!

Blunder

Well, for those who were in the list would have known the recent hiccup of an intention badly went wrong. I would say its a classic case of not obeying the rules to writing such message. Straight forward takeaway is to know who you are your intended recipients and craft your message according to that! ha! management comm...

Yes, its a big joke that we aren't able to access to proper facilities in preparation for a major event. But we have to be realistic about things, the limited amount of resource is here to stay until someone is willling to donate a 2nd basement or take over those pristine white buildings along side campus so that we can have a space of their own. So why not be flexible and make do with what we have?

Of course, moving off campus will be an awesome idea if and only if the location is equivalent or perhaps better off than what we have. Lots of factor to take into consideration, logistical, financial and perhaps most important of all the morale of people. Its all done in the best interest of the band.

Oh well, I hope the dust have settled. We learn from our mistakes, don't give them a hard time. Take a look at the bigger picture, a major project is coming up and shouldn't let these small setbacks hamper our progress.

Rehearsal, Performance, Concert

It's been a mad week filled with band camp, rehearsals, performance and concert. Tinggling sensation on the lips. *Buzz..... Camp was good and music preparations are more or less on track to putting up a good concert come 12 Feb. We had our share of hair-raising moments of the repertoire that leaves tunes humming in our minds when we were not practicing it. Of course not forgetting the usual sessions of tau huay, beer and late nights. With my insanely back-to-back lessons to fill up the gaps in between, i am definitely shagged out by now.

Patron's Day gone by without a hitch (for the band at least). Moments of lameness when we try to self-entertain ourselves while we are basically stuck in the middle of nowhere waiting for other things to happen. Picture will speak for itself if there were any captured in the first place. =).

Well, a round of drinks and good fun will be good if not i have to retire early for next day's concert. Yups, MWS concert was kinda fun and relaxing. Wasn't really expecting myself to be involved after kena "pang seh" by the very person who asked me to perform. But hey, since i have given my promise, the least I should do is to follow the promise even though the amount of rehearsals attended was... *coughs!

Repertoire is very light and the afternoon gone by quite easy because there wasn't any stress of logistic or admin work. Haha! (Come next month GG!) and I get to leave straight for home after the concert! Wee..! Alright, basically the whole idea is just to have fun playing in the band with all the friends, a breath of fresh air on the choices of repertoire.

Next month, there will be standards and expectations to live up to. The pressure is on but despite all this, the band should not forgo the enjoyable process they should have. Everyone has their part to play to make it happen, have they started working?
